Madison Update – 11 March
Commercial in confidence
I’ve received calls about the current market conditions and the lack of a bespoke communication from the Investment Committee. I know based on experiences of market volatility how important regular communication. My apologies for the oversight and I have taken steps to address your requests. The Investment Committee will be providing regular communication for your clients. We expect to have the first of these this evening or early tomorrow morning. Additionally we have scheduled a market call for 10am tomorrow (invitation to be sent shortly). We will continue these webinars over the next few weeks to ensure you are well informed.
In terms of the sale of Madison, we are now in “lock down”. This means interested parties cannot directly approach the Madison Head Office or advisers to discuss the sale. Should you be contacted by an interested party (you’ll know, they will tell you) please direct them to Bob Neill (his details are in the Information Memorandum issued to the buyers), do not engage in questions relating to this process. Due Diligence includes the ability to ask questions of management, team members and advisers. In turn we will be conducting our own due diligence to ensure the governance, support and operational services, balance sheet and leadership of the group aligns with Madison core values and strategic requirements.
I understand there are number of moving parts, competing priorities and sheer volume of work going on for many of you at the moment. I also understand a market correction in the middle of a sale process, regulatory change and whatever else is happening in your professional and personal lives isn’t helping. The team and I find each day challenging too. If I can leave you with this; the frustration we’re all experiencing is because we care and are passionate about what we do. It doesn’t make the list go away, but maybe it helps us breath out a little. Finally, thank you to the advisers who called today to provide assistance and suggestions on how we provide better support throughout the market correction. I valued the conversations.
Contact numbers for any questions/messages;
Jaime 0439 079 786
Kerry 0402 145 480
Dave 0466 710 170
Sincerely,
Annick
