Madison Update – 17 March
Commercial in confidence
There is no material change from the update we provided yesterday. Our time is spent ensuring information provided in our data room is accurate and current. It’s an interesting process to go through (not one we want to do often!). The information requested varies dependent upon the level of understanding of the potential acquirer. Thankfully Bob has the ability to navigate the questions to help us clarify what’s important vs what’s bureaucratic.
In amongst the various Covid-19 messages coming from all parts of the community, we thought it may be useful to provide a few simple work “hacks” to assist you and your teams.
- Online meetings: We use Zoom. There are various packages, including a free option. It’s very easy to use and can be accessed via any device
- Scheduling: If you send clients calendar reminders/self-booking for meetings, you insert choices for hosting (e.g. teleconference, zoom, face to face). This allows the client to have the information in the one place
- Teams working from home: We run G-suite for our operational documents and file storage. It enables us to share links to project plans and documents. This means we can all work on the same document, see the audit trail of change and have one source of truth. It also helps when we’re not in the same location. Microsoft teams has the same functionality.
- Workplace tips: We’ve sourced information from F3P.com.au, A group who have expertise in employment and Industrial Relations law, and also specialise in the Financial Planning sector. The information includes guidance from the Fair Work Commission, Tips for working from home and how to manage employees choosing to self-isolate. CLICK HERE to view.
If anyone in the community has some good ideas we can share amongst ourselves to make life a little easier through this uncertain time, please send them through.
From this point forward, we will host a weekly progress webinar Wednesdays at 11am. Please CLICK HERE to register once for the recurring webinar.
