Madison Update – 30 March

Commercial in confidence

On Friday I mentioned, Bob Neill and the Seaview team were closing indicative bids for the sale of Madison.  Today I was informed we have eight (8)  registered bidders. at least three (3) of which we are comfortable to progress to due diligence.  If we’re counting small wins, in this environment that is quite a remarkable number. I put it down to the professional way our adviser community has conducted itself, the reputation of Bob and his team, the support we’ve been getting from PwC, OneVue and the way my team at Madison HQ has handled the process these past two months.  We still have a way to go, and the hard(er) work begins now.  However, I believe we should acknowledge this first milestone in amongst the current demands on our daily lives.

How’s the cabin fever coming along?  I think the Prime Minister’s announcement’s last night will see more of us staying indoors and seeking ways to reduce the pressure of “everything under one roof”.  To that end, Tim (from the PWC team) sent me some information about virtual cycling .  For all you cycling enthusiasts out there, see below.  Personally, I’ve been running.  Troy Scott sent through the ‘push up’ challenge to a few of us.  I’m not so good at push ups…anyone else keen to take up the challenge?
