4 June 2020 News

It’s brilliant to be closing the week so positively.  We’ve received many positive comments and congratulatory messages.  It’s heartening to have the broader financial services community supporting Clime’s acquisition of Madison.  Rod mentioned he’s had a similar response.  Importantly, your support and the way you’re choosing to embrace this opportunity is what matters the most to us.  Since the announcement, I’ve spent time with Rod, and Sarah Bolouri, the COO of Clime working through the next stages of our transition.  There are a few internal/head office logistics to work through, and based on the early conversations, I feel we are well supported.

As I mentioned yesterday, new ownership brings with it several logistical and regulatory requirements.  We have prepared for these and tomorrow we will share the support and resource infrastructure to assist your business with the changes required e.g. FSGs.  Once we know the contract execution date, a series of actions will trigger in preparation for the migration.  Key dates, timelines and important tasks will be communicated each day to ensure you have the information you need.  We have compiled a list of responses to questions you have raised, including the ones the Adviser Panel asked of Clime.   Please continue to ask questions so we gain an understanding of what’s on your mind.  I’d like to continue the transparent communication we’ve had throughout this process.

At 1pm tomorrow, Rod and I will be hosting another teleconference for those of you who couldn’t make the first session (CLICK HERE to register).  Anyone who wishes to join again is very welcome (or perhaps you’d like your teams to hear from Rod).  I understand there are a few advisers who couldn’t attend yesterday, nor can attend tomorrow.  Please email Bethany if this is you and we’ll provide an opportunity for you to speak with Rod.  We’re not recording the session as we would like the conversation to be open and allow you to ask questions freely.

It feels very good to be writing about the next stage of our business and our future.

Sincerely,
Annick
