A “working lunch” for sole practitioners hosted by Sophie Firminger (National Practice Manager).

Due to the overwhelming feedback we will now be running a peer to peer sharing session on the last Wednesday of every month from 3-4pm. The inaugural Monthly Connect will kick off on Wednesday 30th September from 3-4pm and this month’s topic will be centred around “Technology”.

To register for the September session please CLICK HERE

This was a GREAT session! More time in the breakout rooms would have been great though. Was so great to have that interaction, but found conversations take more time when they’re remote and you don’t know the people well that you’re conversing with. – Vessy Mattar (Red Door Wealth Management)

It was amazing – so many requests to have more of these which I think would be great! Thank you, relevant topics were discussed. – Bianca Dezotti (Honey & Hive Wealth Management)

Consistency in CARs

A look at the processes that should be consistent across your business – and the impact it can have for you if they are not with Kerry Thomas (Head of Governance).

Good reminder of the need to have good workflows but as was the trend in the conference it was very XPlan specific. – Craig Buntain (CFL Financial)

Good session and well presented.  To the point and relevant. – Joe Burke (Austcover FInancial)

Compliance to stop regulators, controls to stop hackers

How do you protect your practice from a cyberattack? What is regulator monitoring of your IT Systems? Zlatko Hristov (Egarda) presents his tips and tricks of defending your data.

Thought this session was very informative and opened my eyes to just how easy it is for hackers to gain access to information. – Alan Oakley

Have him present again.  Some of the chat comments were classics!!!  This is the BEST advert for getting us all up to speed on XPlan, but only if Zlatko agrees XPlan really is safe…. – Amanda Taylor (Majenda Financial)

Record Keeping – Data Requirements

A deep dive into record keeping – why it’s important, what you need to keep, how long for, and where with Jaime Johns (Head of Advice) and Kerry THomas (Head of Goverance).

Again a lot to take in during this session, but with the weekly training support sessions commencing next Thursday this will enable more time for questions – Alan Oakley (CG Wealth)

Very helpful session- can only be improved by follow up documentation and checklists that will help us be sure we haven’t missed anything til we get in to the rhythm of the system – Meaghan Johns (Yarra Valley Financial)

In the rear-view mirror

Observations from the 2020 File Review Program with Greg Dawes, Advice Coach.
