FASEA Code of Ethics – discussion sessions

Commencing Friday 6th November at 10am (AEDT) until the end of the year, the Governance team will be hosting weekly Code of Ethics discussions to work through scenarios provided by you, in light of the new draft guidance. You can register here for these sessions.

All things Ongoing Service Agreements – weekly webinars 

How are you going with completing the Key Dates section on Xplan before the end of the year? Do you have any questions regarding the transition for all OSA clients onto the Madison standard wording?

Post the Good Governance Summit sessions on Minimum Data Requirements and the Key Dates section, we’ve received a number of queries on requirements and processes across all things Ongoing Service Agreements.

From next Tuesday (27 October) at 12pm (AEDT), the Advice Coaches and Megan will be hosting sessions addressing these areas (and any others you have).

‘Culture of Ethics’ in Financial Advice webinar – Kaplan Professional

Kaplan Professional is delighted to offer their ‘Culture of Ethics’ in Financial Advice webinar. This is the first in a series of webinars exclusive to Ontrack subscribers. The webinar is hosted by popular Ontrack contributor, Dr Richard Stejer, MBA Course Director at Kaplan Business School. Dr Stejer is highly regarded in the field of ethics in finance and leadership. Dr Stejer will also be joined by industry panellists for a Q&A session.

The webinar will explore the importance of organisational culture in the financial advice industry and will address two important questions:

  • Are there better ways to embed ethics into organisational culture?
  • How can we extend a culture of ethics in support of Standard 12 in the FASEA Code of Ethics?

Thursday 22 October – FOFA compliance producing FDS & Opt in documents

The session focuses on setting up your XPlan produce your FDS and Opt in documents when needed. We will cover; setting up OSA, managing FDS & Opt in dates in client records, producing FDS & Opt in letter, tracking delivery, FDS & Opt in reporting and quick docs.

 

Thursday 29 October – Tasks and Threads

Streamline business processes by documenting them through the tasks and threads in XPlan. This session will take you through how to link threads and tasks to clients, creating tasks and threads and reporting.

 

Thursday 5 November – Datafeeds

This session will provide you with an understanding of the datafeed functionality in XPlan. We will cover off; Initial datafeed set up, how to map datafeeds to your client records and troubleshooting datafeeds.

 

Thursday 12 November – CommPay and Invoicing

This session will provide you with an understanding of CommPay and Invoicing in XPlan. It will provide you with a high level overview of navigating through XPlan and cover the basics of adding a client record.

 

Thursday 19 November  – Risk Researcher

This session will provide you with an understanding of how to use the risk comparison tool in XPlan. We will look at; existing insurance policies, needs analysis, risk comparisons and recommendations.

 

Thursday 26 November – WealthSolver

This session will provide you with an understanding of how to use the WealthSolver as a comparison tool in XPlan. We will look at; existing accounts, comparisons and recommendations.

 

Thursday 3 December  – Xtools+ CALM

This session will provide you with an understanding of how XTools+ can be used for cashflow modelling and projections for your SOA.  This session will provide an overview XTools+ and its functionality.

 

Thursday 10 December  – Advice SOA generation – Investment strategy

This session will take you through producing an SoA including an investment strategy recommendation with using WealthSolver, CALM and Advice Constructor Wizard.

 

Thursday 17 December – Advice SOA generation – Pension strategy

This session will take you through producing an SoA including an investment strategy recommendation with using WealthSolver, CALM and Advice Constructor Wizard.
