Borrowing to invest, particularly margin lending, has suffered an identity crisis since the GFC, when the market correction saw many retail investors lose a large portion of their life savings, and some even their homes. But with interest rates now at record low levels, many investors are still gun shy about using gearing as part of their wealth creation strategy, particularly given the significant ups and downs that can be experienced.

This presentation will delve into the various possible ways to use leverage and gearing, as well as the important considerations to be aware of when doing so.
