BT Wrap Migration Update
BT recently sent a communication to Advisers to provide an update on tranche two of the migration to Panorama.
Advisers who have clients with accounts in a BT Wrap Open badge are scheduled to migrate to BT Panorama over the weekend of 20-21 March 2021. (Note this date is subject to signoff from the relevant Boards.)
BT expect to send a migration notification documents to clients who hold an account in the BT Wrap Open badge* from 12 February 2021.
A Migration Client List will soon be available on the BT Wrap desktop homepage and will show you your client’s migration status.
BT have made available a number of tools to help you prepare.
1. Migration preparation masterclasses
BT are hosting a series of interactive migration masterclasses that aim to prepare you and your business for the move to BT Panorama. They will also give you the opportunity to ask questions to our panel of experts.

2. Template communication for clients
Should you want to proactively contact your clients to help guide them through migration, we have created some template documents that you can use. These can be found on the migration hub. BT have also created a website for clients so they can access FAQs, guides, and other relevant information.
As BT move closer to tranche two of migration, there will be additional reminder notices for you. View the proposed key dates calendar for tranche two here.
Wrap and SuperWrap and all badges will be closed to new investors from 1 March 2021. Any new accounts from this date should be opened directly in BT Panorama.
A short transition window for accepting in progress applications will be in place up until 8 March 2021, provided the application form is dated prior to 1 March 2021.
To help you prepare BT recommend that you;
- Download the adviser checklist to keep track of migration activities you may need to complete in the lead up to, or after, migration.
- Take note of transaction freeze periods in the lead up to the migration weekend.
- Keep up to date on your clients’ migration status by checking the Migration Client List on the BT Wrap desktop homepage.
- Access BT Panorama training and support to get familiar with the new technology and features available.
- Register for BT’s Migration Masterclass webinars.
Your state BDM should be your first point of contact however we are happy to help escalate any urgent queries.
