Madison Update – 15 April

Thank you to the advisers who joined our teleconference this morning. We appreciate you taking the time to dial in and catch up with us. I understand there isn’t a need to join every week, but we will leave the invitation open until we’ve transitioned to the new owner. Tomorrow the Adviser Panel and the Madison Leadership team have separate meetings with another of the three final bidders. The process will be similar to our conversations held last week, a series of questions and answers and general discussion about the group. As I mentioned on the teleconference, the Adviser Panel have crafted questions specifically tailored to each bidder based on who they are and their current business model. This will assist with representing you and your concerns in the best way. Dates for due diligence have been extended till next Monday. Easter, COVID-19 and bidders managing the impacts of their own businesses (work from home, markets etc) has created the need for an extension of time to go through the sale process. This is also a good sign, it allows everyone to make a careful and considered decision and not rush the process. We continue to inform ASIC along the way. PwC now send emails twice a week (prior it was a daily call). They have not raised any concerns.

ASIC announced yesterday three temporary relief measures to assist in providing advice to clients in an affordable and timely manner during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
