Madison Update – 19 May

Commercial in confidence

I can imagine hearing the same thing every day about the sale is probably getting a little staid.  If it helps, there are regular discussions happening about the sale process and each day there is incremental positive change.  For context, a sale by Receivers comes with specific legal obligations and limitations. The sale of an AFSL has particular inherent risks (purely from an industry landscape). As you may appreciate, the objectives and requirements of each party may not intersect. That said, the conversations I’ve had with Bob and PwC give me confidence ‘middle ground’ will be reached.

Today I started the conversations with our Principals.  I am so thankful for the time Joe Mattar, Michelle Summers & Lissy Woods gave me today. Each conversation was inspiring and humbling.  We have incredible advisers in our community and I would encourage all of you to take the time to learn more about each other.  Despite the uncertainty of the current environment, Joe, Michelle and Lissy are so passionate about what they do and why they do it.  I’m so looking forward to all the other conversations to come.

I’ve mentioned that I would like to catch up with each Principal/s for a 30-minute meeting. In this meeting, I’d like you to consider this question for us to discuss.

In 12 months’ what does success look like for you?

When I’m working with practices and ask this question, I ask the Principal to imagine what their world looks like in a year and with this in mind, consider the following;

  1. In what ways will you be thinking differently?
  2. How will you/your team/your clients feel about the change/new strategy/goal?
  3. What things will you/your business be doing differently? Alternatively, how will you be doing it?
To choose a time that suits you, please click on “Catch-up with Annick” and book an appointment.  Please note: Practices with more than one Principal, I would appreciate an appointment with all of you at once. I understand this may not be possible. However, if it is, when booking your appointment, add a note letting Bethany know there will be more than one of you and we will allow for extra time. All meetings will be virtual.  Bethany will provide meeting details once your appointment is confirmed.  I am really looking forward to the conversations.
We hope you can join us on Friday from 3.30pm for our Virtual Drinks. CLICK HERE to register.
