Madison Update – 20 March

Commercial in confidence

I had a great conversation with Bob Neil this morning regarding the sale process.  He’s having daily discussions with interested parties. Despite all the competing forces we’re all currently facing, they are committed to progressing through the opportunity.  As I mentioned yesterday, the timeline will slip a little because of the environment. Bob suggested a week or two, at the outset.  Everyone is conscious of the potential impacts this process is having on you and your business.  Finding the right ‘home’ as quickly as possible remains our priority.

Thank you to the advisers who continue to check in, provide ideas and suggestions to support practices serve their clients and for sharing good news stories.  Here’s one from Malcolm Greentree;

Mal –
I hope you’re not stressed about all this yourself. I’ve been worried about you: it’s important not to take anyone else’s worry onto yourself and to remember that you are a blessing to your clients.
Hope you and Leanne and the kids are well and that you have plenty of toilet paper and handwash. x

I love hearing stories like this.  Please share more.

We’ve also heard stories of concerned clients, advisers feeling the pressure of keeping up keep up with client calls and questions whilst trying to maintain usual business operations. We’re here to help, please call if you want to talk or need guidance.  To assist, we’ve put together the ‘Adviser’s Survival Guide in a Pandemic’ which is a curation of ideas and resources designed to help reduce the operational burden you may be facing.  We’ve taken into consideration your moral and legal obligations.  Please provide feedback and send through any additional ideas/tips. CLICK HERE for the Adviser’s Survival Guide in a Pandemic.

Best of luck to advisers who are studying and will be sitting the Kaplan exams next week. If you’re also preparing for the next FASEA exam, they have just published an update to the FG004 Practice Question Guidance, link and the Candidate Video, link.  All preparation material for the Exam can be found on the Preparing for the Exam page on the website, link.

Please CLICK HERE to register once for the recurring webinar held Wednesdays at 11am.

Happy birthday to Liz Hughes, hope you get spoilt!  As we close this week and head into the weekend, we hope you and your families are healthy and safe.
