Madison Update – 31 March
Commercial in confidence
I spoke to Bob today and he mentioned he will be speaking to the bidders and providing information about the next steps for the sale process. It is likely no more than three (potentially two) parties will be given access to the data room. This is my preference also, as the information contained in the data room is commercially sensitive and confidential. Those who get access are bound by stringent confidentiality terms to ensure the information they access is protected and treated with the respect it requires. The preferred three (or two) will get access either tomorrow or Wednesday, and that’s when questions will increase and further requests for information. Jaime and Sophie are constructing a due diligence plan for the team to ensure we’re ready and keep track of the tasks we’re accountable to complete. This plan will be extended to include CAR and AR requirements for the transition (post close of the Madison sale). More on this as it becomes closer to time.
A few advisers have asked us to source information on how the Insurers are managing claims, premiums etc during this period. Sophie has curated information and you can source it from the link below. If you have additional information please send it through.
COVID-19 Insurance Support for Clients
All the information and resources we are gathering will be placed on a separate page in the Adviser Portal. Dave and Bethany are constructing it, and it should be live in the next couple of days.
Netwealth are hosting a COVID-19 Thought Leader series – Navigating Uncertainty. Registrations for the first 3 webinars are available below;
- Thursday 2nd at 12pm AEDT: Join Keat Chew, our Head of Technical Services, who will present on what the coronavirus stimulus package means for you and your clients.
- Wednesday 8th at 12pm AEST: Join Andrew Inwood from CoreData as he shares with you their latest research on the state of the wealth industry and how clients are reacting to uncertainty and how best to deal with it.
- Wednesday 15th at 1pm AEST: Join Michael Elsworth, Executive Director of Lonsec who will focus on retirees and relevant income strategies for volatile times.
We would love to see how you and your business are keeping your team connected. Please send through your photos and ideas to adviserservices@madisonfg.com.au
We hope you are keeping well and safe throughout this time. If you need support, or want someone to chat too because the cabin fever is a bit much, please call anytime.
