Service Model & Pricing Update

Since our last communication, several workshops and conversations have been held to design our new Service and Pricing model. The Adviser Panel, represented by Naomi Alletson, Megan Hodge, Paul Giordano, Brian Lomas and John Francis have spent many hours on this program of work to assist with the design and construct of the services. We have had many robust and challenging conversations (as you would expect) which has helped shape our offer to support the types of businesses within the community.

As a reminder, the purpose of the program is to:
Design and implement an AFSL service proposition and pricing model to better serve advisers and their clients (existing and prospective practices).
Generate a revenue model which delivers commercial value to stakeholders, provides continual investment into our advice businesses, strong ROI and sustainable FME.

Move to a transparent and commercial pricing methodology in line with Government, regulatory and consumer expectations.
Additionally, the following principles have been applied:

  • Base cost to support AFSL obligations
  • Price for value and growth
  • Not ‘one size fits all’
  • Flat fee & transparent

We have designed a service proposition based on three business segments; Emerging, Evolving and Established. Each segment is defined by quantitative & qualitative data to assist with determining where your Practice fits. We have also included a suite of services called “the Pro Series” which are bespoke packages to be designed with the assistance of the Adviser Panel. The Pro Series is tailored to assist Practices to focus on a particular aspect of their business e.g. growth, marketing, brand etc. Over the coming weeks, Jaime and Sophie will catch up with you to discuss the Service Model & Pricing, work with you to determine how we support your business in the new year, and take you through the various stages of transition.

What happens next

Next week I will provide further detail about the program, including further information about the segments and service packages. I will also provide a timeline of the rollout plan and how you will be supported. Our aim is to have this new offer in place by 1 January 2021 in time for the regulatory changes. We have designed this new offer to help each of our practices be successful and feel well supported for the future. We’re looking forward to delivering a program we believe will help you achieve your business objectives.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please call me.
